Retorno offers opportunities for healthy living and outdoor activities that attract a diverse group of people. Retorno has been a leader in addiction treatment and recovery in the Jewish community and beyond for close to three decades. While Retorno is strictly kosher, and much of the staff is observant, we encourage clients to seek their own spiritual grounding.

Admission to the Adult Residential Community at Retorno
Admittance to the Adult Residential Community at Retorno is for men and women (in separate programs), 17 years and older, recovering from addiction to alcohol or drugs, or other forms of addiction. Often, the residential community at Retorno serves as a bridge between detox and a full reentry to life in the community.
Prior to entering the program, candidates must be completely detoxed. For women with an active addiction, Retorno offers a detox program for women and a detox program for men.

Admission to Refresh – Sober Living Facility
Admission to Refresh, Retorno’s sober living facility in Beit Shemesh, is for men between the ages of 17 and 50 who are on the road to rehabilitation. Are you clean and looking for more than just an outpatient program but less than an inpatient commitment? Refresh may be your program. Many residents at Refresh, but not all, are alumni of Retorno’s residential addiction recovery program or other rehab programs.
Fees and Insurance – dedicated to effective and affordable addiction recovery
The costs for our program are very competitive. You can expect lower costs compared to fees for residential addiction rehabilitation programs or detox programs in the US, Canada, Europe, Australia, or South Africa. - Detox Program:
- $10,000 USD/month
- Residential Rehabilitation Community:
- $10,000 USD/month
- $1,000/month additional for DHEA
Participants can earn instructor-level certification in therapeutic horseback riding and other areas as part of the program. Combined with the residential program, the costs for instructor-level certification can be very reasonable. (The therapeutic horseback riding course has an additional fee.)
For alumni who decide to stay in Israel, or for people in recovery in Israel, Mifgashim, offers ongoing outpatient support. The combined cost includes all four weekly meetings (group therapy, 1:1 therapy, 12-step groups, and sponsor meetings). The fee is often less than the cost of a single private psychotherapy session.
