Mifgashim is Retorno’s Outpatient Center, providing treatment for people suffering from psychological or physical dependence on substances or behaviors (addiction). Common addictions include drugs, alcohol, gambling, codependency, shopping, pornography, eating, and the internet. Mifgashim is designated for people who, despite their addiction, manage to lead functional lives. The staff at Mifgashim is in constant contact with Retorno’s inpatient program, which allows referrals to be made when necessary. At Retorno, community support for recovering addicts is part of our mandate.
While alcoholism and drug addiction may be much easier to spot, there are other addictions that can be very tricky to identify. How do you know when you have crossed the line between “use” and “abuse”?
If you are not sure if you are addicted, take a quiz to find out.
The outpatient program has four parts:
- Focused 12 Steps groups, led by the same facilitator every week
- Group therapy, facilitated by a therapist with expertise in addictions
- Private therapy with an addictions specialist
- One-on-one sponsor meetings every week
The combined cost of all four weekly meetings is often less than the cost of a single private psychotherapy session.
In addition, Retorno runs workshops, special holiday events, lectures, and parenting classes for Mifgashim clients. Separate programs for men and women in English and Hebrew.
